Coordinating Conjunctions

They can join two verbs, two nouns, two adjectives, two phrases, or two independent clauses. Joins two words, phrases, or independent clauses, which are parallel in structure.

Most commonly used:  AND, BUT, FOR, NOR, OR, SO, YET.
